The Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Radio approached me to create episode art for their podcast series Bovar och brott (‘Crimes and Criminals’) on Barnradion. The program is aimed at children aged 9-13 and features the most spectacular crimes and thugs from around the world.
I created 5 episode artworks for the third season of the program, which aired from December 2023 to January 2024.
S3 E1. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were robbers who targeted banks, post offices and trains on an regular basis. They rode off into the wilderness with heavy stolen money bags, the sheriffs hot on their heels.*
S3 E2. Big Bertha
Bertha “Big Bertha” Heyman was one of history’s most famous, and infamous, con artists. With her innocent looks, smooth talking and fake checks, she conned men out of money and valuables for huge sums.*
S3 E3. The BT Kemi Scandal
A factory in Teckomatorp buried hundreds of barrels of contaminated substances under the cover of darkness.*
S3 E4. Henricus Antonius van Meegeren
Henricus Antonius van Meegeren was one of the greatest art forgers of all time. He learned everything about how the greatest artists painted in order to be able to do exactly the same.*
S3 E5. Maskeradligan
The members of maskeradligan (the masked gang) dressed up as electricians, joggers and police officers – all to avoid attracting attention as they robbed and burglarized.*
